A DApp Idea with SMTs: Blogging with advertising

in #steem6 years ago

A busy.org like website with advertisement. All advertisements profit after maintenance will used to buy back SMTs. One of the advertisements can be implemented using Google adsence. We can call the SMT to ADT (Ad Token).

Though it may sound antithesis to STEEM blockchain, however, some good articles are not rewarded for there overall contribution to knowledge base. Therefore, there is demand for monetize the articles that are visited by people through search engines. If an ADT like SMT can be rewarded based on number of visits for longer period (e.g. one year), then we can say better usage of the contributions. However, there will be lots of technical hurdles which is understandable.

Ads will be tailored by Google adsence according to visitor's preference. Off course, marketing for the websites will be ensured for traffic.

Developers will hold 25% token, 50% token will be sold as crowdsale and 25% can be airdropped on STEEM holders with upper threshold of Dolphin (5K). It means that one can get maximum ADT by airdrop up to 5K SP holding (i.e. having more than 5K SP will not help getting more ADT). Good Person Token (GPT) can be used to identify unique account.

Blogs can be rewarded with STEEM/SBD as usual. Or, there will be an option for rewarding with ADT SMT. However, implementation depends on how STINC implement SMT. For trending and discovery of the articles, whitelist by STINC and GPT can be used.

Now my question to devs and Steemitians:

  1. What are the technical challenges for this type of website?

  2. Is entrepreneur thinking about such an DApp and SMT? Is there any app already though in small scale, use of external ads by using some features/data/api from STEEM blockchain

  3. If anybody is interested to further this idea, please send me STEEM message with encryption.
