SEC-S7W4 – Design your “Dream Home”

According to internet data, 68% of the people in Bangladesh have their own house. I am fortunate to have a house of my own to live in. Those who do not have their own house or who live on rent know how important a house is to our lives.

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. Every person has a dream house where they want to keep all the things of their choice. I also have a dream house, and through today's contest, I will share with you the design of my house.

Dream House

Although very tall buildings look like skyscrapers, they are not suitable for houses. Especially buildings with more floors are suitable for office courts. So I want to keep my dream house minimalistic and medium in size. Light and air can enter the house very easily. Below, I am sharing with you a design in my home.

My dream house will have a three-story building. Although I will keep its foundation up to five floors, I will keep the ground floor free for car parking and any social events or activities. Each room of the house will have a separate balcony so that one can stand there and enjoy the surroundings of the house.

My house will typically be between 1400-1500 square feet. Each typical floor of the house will have two bedrooms, a drawing room, two bathrooms, and a kitchen room. In the center of each floor there will be a drawing room. Although the rooms are not very large, they will be medium in size. Each room will be at least 13×15 feet in size, and each room will have an attached bathroom.

The thing that will be given the most importance in the design of the house is the septic tank of the house. The septic tank will be in the basement of the house. Having a good drainage system for a home was once a necessity. So for my dream house, I will make a septic tank under the foundation of the house according to its capacity of 100 people and keep a good system for water movement and drainage.

After preparing the design of the house, it is time to build the house. I will definitely contact the best Structural Engineer SHELLMARK LIMITED in our district to build the house. Because I want to build my dream house in such a way that even if I change something else, I never have to change my house.

Where do you want to build your dream house?

I selected the BMA area of the military corporation area to build my house. Because the lands here have been well tested by soil experts, The BMA area is the safest area of our district because the entire area is protected by the military.

Moreover, there are good-quality schools, markets, and government offices in this area. Although the price of land in this area is a bit high, I want to keep every element top-notch to make my dream home. The area has mountains to the east and the sea to the west. As a result, I can enjoy all these things from my home.

Why do you want to do it like this (your design)?

I have kept the design of my house minimalist because we have few family members. Our family members are five, and we are a single family. So I want to keep only the facilities that are necessary for five people to live in one house.

The house will have enough space to allow enough light and air to enter. I want to keep everything possible in my house. Also, I will keep the ground floor free, and there I can park our cars and organize various social events throughout the rest.

What material would you build it from?

---

Since the house I am building for my whole life, I will use only the top end materials needed to make it the strongest. In the case of brick ,wood,sand, cement, and Reinforced concrete , I must collect material from top-end companies. Another element in house building is the Steel.

The most popular steel company in our country is the BSRM Extreme. I will use their A+grade steel in building my house. Moreover, as per the suggestion of the engineer, I will use all kinds of extra and better-quality materials in my house.

After building the house, I will complete it with high-quality interiors and painting. I must have a swing on the roof of my house, where I will sit sometimes and watch the moon in the open night sky.

I will park my car on the ground floor of my house and wash my car myself every weekend. I will plant many trees around my house and make a flower garden at the front end of the house.

A house is perfect only when an ideal family lives there. The house becomes a part of the member's life with the joy, happiness, love, emotions, and feelings of the family members. I want to live in my dream house with my family till my death.
