My 2018 - This Is My Hobby: Reading and Writing Found Me

I don’t always following contest but, this contest is interesting for me because this is the first thing that people ask when there are meet someone new and to brake the empty conversation. And this is what teacher asked to the student when their first day at school. So to avoid this writing is gone too far, I just want to answer the question that Anomadsoul already given for the contest.

I am thinking what is this book about?

Firstly I will tell what my hobby. I have a lot of hobby such as travelling, reading, writing, playing football, watching movies and talking to people. But this time I only want to share two of my hobbies that are reading and writing. I love to read when I was very young age; I consume the entire library book in my very humble school. After thatI I moved to junior high and I read no book, in these desperate times i try to write love letters to find a girl to love and helping my friend who cannot write a poem and a love letters at all. And i high school I read literacy book, such as Arabian nights and book about the world public figures.

I don’t pick this hobby, this hobby pick me! But yes, I pick this hobby because I like to free my mind from reading, classic tales, legend and fiction book. I read comics as well and I loved to stay at book store for a long time.
How long have you been doing it...? Are you learning more and more every day?
Since elementary school? And ya I learned it sometimes for better creation of better writing. I have mention it aboove. haha
What is that you love about this hobby? Do you like it because you are good at it? Do you love it because it takes away the stress? Do you enjoy it because it is challenging?
I loved this hobby because this is the way I express myself. I love to write because this is the only thing I can, not better but I am among the writer of Aceh, I like to sit with them and share the idea. And since we found steemit, or steemit found us there is lot of writer that emerged from Aceh. Yea I can release the stress by doing it. Now i made one post per day. But sometimes I am stress too when I cannot found the idea to write.

When do you practice it? Is it part of your daily life or do you have to go out of your routine to be able to do it?
I got the idea in the morning every day, and when I wake up and i know what to write that day, but because i got to go to work, sometimes lot to do at work and so little time to write.
Is it something you share with someone else or is this hobby YOUR thing and you do it by yourself?
I join some writers community here in Aceh, Indonesia. There are FLP (forum Lingkar Pena) which is the community of writers who writes about islamic and who writes Islamicly, and I also join Bloggers community until now, the name is Gaminong Bloggers. We write about travel, culinary and daily life. But since steemit era, some of us already moved here and left our blogs.

What is going on in your mind when you do it?
I feel happy when I do it, and is full of love and joy here. Some people say I am good at it but I feel just regular guy who can play with words sometimes.
Is your hobby a priority? Does practicing takes away time with your family or partner? Do you have it high on your priority list or is it not that important compared to family and friends?
Yea, I would like to write as priority. But you know, I have to teach and do others stuff. Yea sometimes i spend my time to write at coffee shop. And I have to leave my family for hours to focus on writing an article per day.
Is your hobby expensive? Do you spend a lot of money when you practice it? What sacrifices you make to be able to practice your hobby?

Writing This is not very expensive, just the books prices is getting more expensive day by day, sometimes I collect money from my salary to buy good quality books. The more we read and the more we need to write more. The more we read the more we find that we don’t know anything yet/ what happens in this world. Yes we have to sacrifice our time to focus on it.
Are you an amateur? An adept? An expert? What makes the differences between them? Does it depend only on skills or do you also need tools or equipment to become better?
I am still an amateur writer. In my whole live i just release one book so far, but I have written a thousand articles on papers, facebook and my blogs. Yea you know the differentiations between them, an expert can write anything professionally. Tool in writing is reading and findinga good formula by keep doing what you like.
Are you lucky enough that is your hobby part of your job?

As a teacher, I also write about Education but mostly I write about movies for this past 7 years. Firstly when I start to learn writing, I wrote about poems, I wrote many short stories and now I write about steemit community in Indonesia.
If you would have to explain your hobby to an alien, how would you do it?
I will ask that alien to make a steemit account and wait email confirmation, and I will show them how to write a post on steemit. And if I Fail, I will ask that alien to visit @anomadsoul to teach him how to write on steemit.
