Fairy Chimneys

This is Fairy Chimney, located in Cappadocia , one of the magical place on earth. It's famous for it's unique landscape of valleys and unusual rock formations which formed when three volcanoes located on the edges of this region began erupting frequently. The deposits of volcanoes ash, lava and basalt laid the foundations for today's landscape.

The top layer of basalt is extremely soft, it can be easily carved so then the communities took advantage and making their home , church in the rock pillars and under the ground.
