Apam One of the Foods That Comes from Aceh

Assalamualaikum steemian friends..

On this occasion I would like to introduce one of the typical foods of Aceh, which is commonly referred to as APAM or in Indonesian it is called Serabi.

Apam is processed naturally without preservatives and without developers.
This tradition is held every month of ra'jab, we celebrate apam which is brought to the mosque during Friday prayers, and we distribute it to relatives and neighbors just to strengthen the relationship. This tradition has been passed down from generation to generation in Aceh from the month of Ra'jab to the month of Sha'ban and may Allah meet us with the month of Ramadan.

This tradition aims to remind us to be grateful for what Allah has given us so far, and also to remind us that we are close to the holy month of Ramadan.

We must maintain this tradition, as the Acehnese proverb says, “Gadoh aneuk mupat jrat, Gadoh adat hana pat tamita'' which means, ''there is a child missing, there is a child missing, where is the adat going to be'.
