STOP SPAMMING STEEMIT! 4 Posts or less is plenty.
Ok so we've all probably been guilty of this at some point in our time on steemit, you get a little money for your post and you keep posting all day trying to squeeze that extra bit of cash in upvotes. Nobody is saying you can't post more but just don't be surprised when the payouts get smaller and smaller.
WELL STOP!
I aim to post a maxumim of 4 posts a day, no more and right now that's only because my current blog is difficult to fit into one post without it getting boring and due to it being a day long blog that I'm writing as the day goes by, but on the average day I might post two blogs.
For newbies out there fresh to steemit posting countless blogs all day it's VERY damaging to your growth here. I for one if I see someone I'm following who constantly posts all day on steemit I will often unfollow and mute them, I'd rather see a few quality posts than millions of quick unthoughtful posts, I won't lie it annoys me and I'm sure many other bloggers out there feel the same way as me. Therefore your posts are being ignored by a lot of steemians, often whales who are just sick of your posts.
The other side of it, nevermind being sick of your posts we now have 10 upvotes before dilution due to hardfork 19 which means people are upvoting less, nobody is going to use their entire upvote quota on you, it just won't happen.
The more you post on steemit the more the new feed fills up, so if everyone is posting 10, 20 posts a day nobody will even see your work because it will zip down the feed so fast it might as well not even be there.
CONCLUSION
Stop and think before you post, limit your posting to a max of 4 per day or less!. Due to my recent blog I'm at around 4 a day and have had more to post but I didn't I held it back. Posting a stupid amount of posts will damage your growth and majorly annoy a lot of steemians. I've already unfollowed about 15 people due to this. Stop. Think about what you are writing and make sure it enriches the blockchain not fill it with crap.
So please do take heed and reduce your post count and increase the quality of that content and you'll see the rewards will be worth it!!
[Edit - I'm not saying you should only be posting 4 a day and maybe excellent authors post more but my thoughts are to post a good article takes time and if someone is posting 10 20 articles I have to beg the question how much quality is in that article for such little time devoted to each.]
I beg to differ from your views as great authors can produce more than 4 popular articcles a day and they will still have good content. When you plan well, its easy to do as stories keep coming
Maybe they do but we are still tied to 10 upvotes per day before dilution and you wont get as many upvotes going around. My personal view is I will upvote my favourite authors 4 times in a day. No more. And if i constantly see the same name posting all day I stop actually reading what they post I just scroll right past. The only exception are whales as whales will get upvotes no matter what do to people trying to attract their attention to gain upvotes from them.
There is a difference between quality posts and information, than spam information with no meaning. Genuine authors take time and effort to create genuine heartfelt words and information, for the benefit of everyone, and do so to cover the vast time differences of their followers. Some, like me, are just grateful for the added bonus of rewards from followers. I do agree that spam posting is a nightmare to deal with, but is a far cry from genuine information that helps others become informed.
I still believe you can be informative and interesting in a max of 4 posts, instead of 10 little posts mostly pertaining to the same thing post 1 including all the information.
I understand what you are saying, again it depends on our life mission and purpose. I don't post for the glory, I believe those that are meant to read it will, this is then a group of core followers of the same mindset, that effectively create their own micro community, which simply grows and prospers.
For me to post an article can take time and effort if you post 20 article a day and the average person is awake 16 hours a day thats more than 1 article an hour i have to question the quality. Like I said maybe some people do flow with ideas but for me I need time to post.
It has become a passion for me, and has been for the past two years. In some cases I post articles that I wrote months or years ago because they are relevant today. I tend to write about spiritual awakening, ascension and the global energies, as well as helping others who are going through similar things to what I an many others around the world experience daily.
I'm sure it is great content and for you its is about getting a message across, for me its about growing and investing in the steemit blockchain. I do tend to just scroll past some who posts over and over.
I generally try post 2 a day, if I can 3.
No matter where it is, finding someone posting pointless threads everywhere is highly annoying.
Exactly my normal post count is 2 per day and they are long. Right now I'm at around 3 to 4 due to the type of blog I'm writing and still I hold back content because I refuse to go over 4.

I do believe people need to reduce their post count the feed is thronged with basically spam at times to squeeze upvotes.
Feel that. I followed one dude who posted like 10-20 times a day. He made almost no money. I unfollowed him. 10 posts a day is way to much.
I'm quite agree with this post! I usually make 1 or 2 posts per day
Many more just annoys people now obviously if you have a genuinely good post there is an exception but the majority of the time it's better to stick to 2 - 4 and hold back your content for another day and enrich it before posting
