🚀 How to be the Smartest and most Charismatic Person in the Room 🚀

Have you ever been in a situation where you had to say a few words on the spot, but couldn't say anything more than "Thank you all for being here..."? It's kind of embarrassing when everyone expects you to say something clever, but you can't think of anything at that very moment. However the moment you go home, you can think of hundreds of things you could have said.

If this is something that you have experienced, you are not alone! We have all been in similar situations where you felt embarrassed and kind of "dumb". But how do you pull off being clever all the time?

Here are some of my tips on this matter...

Tips on Being Smart and Charismatic

Be the Social Chameleon
A person who is good at talking to others is the person who succeeds in life. We are social beings and the more we speak to different people (i.e. different cultural, political and religious background) we will learn about their views in life. Knowing what other people like and dislike is a great skill to have in life.

Listen More, Speak Less
People like to talk a lot. But more than that, people like to talk a lot about themselves. To each person, they are the perfect individual and in that sense they feel like they should be listened to. People will always tell you what they like if you keep listening to them long enough. All you need to do is talk as little less as possible about yourself and give them the stage. They will like you a lot as they feel they can confide in you and at the same time you know their likes and dislikes.

Connect the Dots
Once you have spoken to a lot of people and know their likes and dislikes, just connect the dots. If two people have similar interests, introduce them. Slowly keep doing this with everyone and you will see that, in a very short amount of time everyone will know you as the most social person. Everyone will know you as the guy who introduced someone to their best friend or life long partner. All you did was just use the information that you received to your advantage!

Don't Be Afraid to Create a Scene
Getting a little attention every now and then is a good thing. This way people know who you are, and what you are worth. It boosts your self confidence and also raises your value in front of an audience.

Keep Learning
Always keep up-to-date about the latest news about tech, politics and rising trends. Learn about things that could be interesting in a conversation. This is a really good ice breaker when you are first trying to talk to others.

Laugh and Joke
Never underestimate the power of laughing and joking around. When you crack jokes, it makes other people feel at ease with you. They feel like you are a down-to-earth person and will respect you for that. It is also a great way to draw people into your story.

Be Humble
Don't try to over do it and be humble. No matter whatever you do, being humble is one of the best traits to have in any situation. People will respect you and may even introduce you to others.

Be a Story Teller
Now that you know a lot of information about everyone, you need to create an interesting story that links everything. Use the information that you learned about others and express it in such a way that it elevates everyone in the room. Make them feel good about themselves and they will like you more. Whenever creating a compelling story, make sure you bring out different emotions in people. This will make your story more believable and will make you look charismatic.

Practice
Practice these steps anywhere and everywhere. The more you practice the more it will be ingrained in your subconscious and you will remember these tips instantaneously.

Conclusion

Being smart and charismatic can be difficult, but by practicing the above steps, you will plant the seeds to make you a more successful person in the long run.
