My advice to the newbies
Hi everyone, i am new here i arrived 6 days ago and I would like to talk about something I see a lot in many post. Many time i open a post read it and at the end there is a mention follow me and up-vote me and I will do the same. I don’t really know if it is a good thing but in my opinion i find this kind of greedy. From what i learn until now Steemit is a community of peoples who take time to make some kind of content it can be writing, drawing, painting, video, music, picture or whatever can be interesting to other members. I know at the very beginning it is hard to get an audience, but by doing such a thing you just get follower of one day and never get an audience. If the beginning is hard for all of us it seems good to read other post and comment the one you like, may be up-vote it, also help some newcomers. This is much more useful than ask other to follow and up-vote in return of the same. Steemit is a community and as every community if you doing wrong you will get notice by other and they won't follow you nor up-vote you. So my advice to those who like to do this kind of greed, seat behind your computer find something to say or to show that may interest others, comment some post and up-vote some and for sure the return will come and it will be much more grateful than the greed. Things take time and nothing come for nothing.

This should be added somewhere for new members, just to outline the community. Provide value with some work and if it is good, the community will respond, in the moment, or after some time, if it is not, just do better next time. Do it for yourself, don't expect something, as it is said in the introduction of STEEM somewhere.
I think it is part of the learning curve of newbies. You see others do it so you think it is the norm here then as you spend more than on steemit and enjoy the platform, you realize that it doesn't really matter. It's up to the author whether he will follow only those who follow him but it is up to me who I will follow and upvote.

FOLLOW ME UP VOTE ME!!!! Just kidding. I was on a site similar to this in the past and that would be over 50% of the comments. I am going to start posting parts of a story that I wrote. I hope people would read it and actually comment and help me make it better, not just scam for followers. Maybe people will read it, maybe they won't. The ones that do read and share it on their own are the kind of friends/followers I'd rather have.
