Let's have some fun... Most of what I post is serious and everybody needs a break every once in a while! I'll tag this NSFW so as not to offend any morally compromised cucks... So If you're a Feminazi or the possessor of a mangina- be forewarned- these videos have scantily clad ladies (Oh the horror)! However, for the well adjusted- enjoy some good music (even if it isn't metal)

I watched a documentary about Evelyn Nesbit and the Stanford White murder. Evelyn was at one time tagged as "the most beautiful girl in the world" and "the American Eve." She had a tragic love affair with prominent New York architect Stanford White who was subsequently shot and killed by her husband... this in fact became the storyline for the movie Ragtime.

After watching the documentary a song became embedded in my head, the way songs have a way of doing and it's been stuck there for 2 weeks. So I thought I'd share it (in hopes it will migrate to someone else's psyche). It's written by Randy Newman, one of the most prolific songwriters of the last half of the 20th century and the creator of one of my other all time favorites... Now I remind you again they're not my usual metal- but great nonetheless!

I'm stopping by my Friend! And I'm VERY excited and happy that I did! I hope all is well with You and Bruno! I have to add that there was truly only one Randy Newman! Thank you so VERY much for also sharing the beauty of Planet Earth! Two thumbs up my Friend! All the best and I hope that you are enjoying your new shoes! :)

I've never heard about Evelyn Nesbit and so I searched online to read more about her story (as you can understand, I "like" dark stories/murder stories). I know the song You can leave you're hat on (especially in the version of Joe Cocker, fantastic voice! ^^) and I like it so much ^^

This is the documentary... You should like it- it's DARK! Randy Newman wrote You Can Leave Your Hat On... Joe Cocker's version is ok The Tom Jones version I don't care for- but I don't like him (I guarded him when he came to Boston and he was a jerk!) By the way, YouTube has a subtitle option if you need it.

I think I could love a million million girls... Even from across the sea! Lalalal lala....

Indeed this is the good stuff I needed today! Thanks!

I don't usually.get nsfw stuff in my feed, so I was surprised...I am so very triggered by this. Semi-naked ladies...how could you?

Jesus that song is catchy
I could love a million girls... NO I must not get that stuck in my head or it'll never go away.
Good luck in getting it out of your head ;)

The greater part of the circumstances when I watch something, a specific melody is constantly latched onto my subconscious mind and it helps me to remember the thing I've viewed. Incalculable motion pictures that I watch, in the event that I hear a tune that was on that film, I will quickly recall every one of the feelings I encountered while watching it. Ahhh the forces of music...

I understand! I use little music lines to remember things. Phone numbers etc become a short song or rhythmic pattern. It can be a bit odd to need to sing it to myself...

Soundtrack composers, the really good ones, have a firm grasp of music's power to be a remembering tool. Some music just enhances the visuals while other times it's such an integral part of the movie you can't really separate them.

Thus Spake Zarathustra is so firmly linked to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey that many people have no idea where it came from!

Or the James Bond movies. That theme in its varying forms is such a perfect musical expression of the character.

Which tunes embody a specific movie or tv show to you?

Most of the times when I watch something, a certain song is always stuck in my head and it reminds me of the thing I've watched. Countless movies that I watch, if I hear a song that was on that movie, I will immediately remember all the emotions I experienced while watching it. Ahhh the powers of music...

Randy Newman has a knack for writing earwigs.

Ill never watch Toy Story again!
