First of all I want to say that my girlfriend and I will be at SteemFest and we can't wait to see everyone that is able to make the journey! 'What an awesome excuse to go to Amsterdam, too!

I can actually be a bit shy when I don't know someone yet so I have not felt bold enough to introduce myself to the community until now. I have been highly active since I discovered Steemit a couple months ago and now that I feel like I am starting to contribute more value to the platform, I am ready to introduce myself. Maybe I should have done it to begin with, but it's never too late I guess!

What I'm doing on Steemit

Curating for SteemitTrail

The most recent project, and the one I am the most excited to be involved in is SteemTrail! I think it is exactly what Steemit needs and as it grows, I think it will improve content and user retention! I am curating for the Cannabis/Marijuana/Gardening/Steemfest/Travel/Food/Love/Life/Philosophy tags. These are categories I post to sometimes because I am enthusiastic about all those topics and feel I can offer value as a curator in those areas as well. SteemFest Dreamers

I also organized a campaign called SteemFest Dreamers in an effort to help more Steemians go to SteemFest. It has been slower to get started than I hoped, but we have bought 2 SteemFest tickets for Steemians and made several donations to several SteemFest Dreamers!

Who I am

If you're already following you may have already noticed that I am passionate about many subjects, but as cliche as it sounds, my life is dedicated to an ideal more than anything. It's hard to put the ideal into words just right, but its about love and creating happiness and peace in the world. I actually believe that even though we have always had violence and war, it will not always be. My life is dedicated to helping co-create a beautiful, peaceful, abundant reality for all of us. I am not just a dreamer but also an empiricist and I know we can make our dreams a reality!

I have many ideas, plans, dreams, goals, and thoughts that I would like to share with you, but I don't want to bore you too much. I'll keep this section short, even though I am an open book and passionate about open honest communication.

Why I am here on Steemit

As most of you, I can see the immense potential of Steemit. Also, like many of you, it was Jeff Berwick that made me aware of Steemit. Seeing his continued involvement especially with tdv.witness and now #steemtrail and speaking at SteemFest, I want to give Jeff, credit for what he has done here. I know many out there aren't fans and I definitely don't agree with him entirely, but I consider him to be a pretty cool dude and hope I get to meet him at SteemFest!

I think some of the things I've done so far are a good example of how someone who never really blogged before and didn't have a big facebook or youtube following can get on steemit and still become a valuable contributor. I have really enjoyed improving my content creating skills and connecting with other members of the community over shared interests.

What I do IRL

My father has Parkinsons, so what I consider to be my full time job is being with him. I am incredibly thankful to have this time with him. He has taught me more than I can express and because he started a successful business before he got sick, I am able to help manage that business as a source of income, while I spend most of my time with him. My mother, myself, and an awesome caretaker we hired provide 24hr care for my dad at home!
