Evolution is a command line tool to move code for database applications. Basically it allows to manage in an automated way the databases of the different applications. The name of the project is evolution by means of an issues they were requesting different design proposals for their logo, I made contact with the owner of the project and presented him with a logo proposal which he loved.
When I see the name of the project, a logo based on the three letters of the project name (evo) immediately appears in my mind to see that the letter E is physically similar to the letter O could make a merger of both using the letter V as transition giving some gradients to give a little depth and prevent it from being flat, the result has been beautiful.
Using a mixture of primary colors and giving a slope of about 60 degrees form a gradient that looks great and gives a very modern and minimalist look.
For the purpose of seriousness and style in the logo, a free font is used with a clean and stable shape, I use the same font for the function of the three letters as for the name of the project, which gives a harmonious and pleasant image in sight.

To give harmony to the logo, try to maintain a measure that standardizes the edges of the logo, the text and the separation of the text with the relationship with the logo, so we guarantee that everything looks clean and stable
