...IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR THE GOODNESS OF GOD...!
Psalms 27:13
13 I would have fainted, if I had not believed that I would see the goodness of Jehovah in the land of the living.
(RVR1960)
What do you think dear friends?
David was afflicted like any of us but what hope this man had! when he declared "I would have passed out" What does it mean to pass out? Fainting means losing courage, courage or strength. And David was saying "if it hadn't been for God I would never have had the courage or strength to endure" but the goodness of my heavenly father lifted me up and gave me strength and hope to believe that in the midst of all this adversity I will see his goodness on this earth
How many of us today find ourselves in the same situation as David, but are we thinking like him, are we trusting in God, are we thinking that even in the storm we are experiencing we will see the goodness of God on this earth?
We need courage and strength from God to live life, the opportunity that he allows us through his goodness and mercy because we are certainly not immune to tribulations and adversities; but we need to believe God with all our hearts, obviously so as not to lose heart and be confident, firm, believing that in addition to salvation we will see his hand, his goodness in our favor on this earth.
I am one of those people who believe that if it had not been for my lord, "I" would have fainted too, but he sustains me, gives me strength, comforts me, gives me hope, and teaches me that nothing is impossible for him, that I can't and shouldn't give up because he has defeated the world
¡How great is our God, how great is his goodness!
