HOW TO BOOST ATTENTION IN OUR STUDENTS
Teachers must bear in mind that concentration and attention span, like other human skills, can be improved since attention is nothing more than the habit of contemplation, so that by educating the spirit of observation we will always have a greater facility for concentration for voluntary attention
Urging students with motivations of their interest and in a reflective way will be an opportunity for them to capture the voluntary attention which will have a significant benefit in their memory
In this way, to educate attention, what we have to do is exercise ourselves in the detailed and in-depth observation of everything that surrounds us, big and small.
I am referring in this case to direct and intelligent observation of our students. Why? to be able to detect previously diagnosed limitations that could limit their voluntary attention and that could hinder their learning

In this sense, we must look at his world around the objects of his daily life and never superficially, but penetrating inside observing his behaviors and his relationships with others, his equalities and differences.
Remember that the central axis of learning is the students! they are our greatest motivation in everything we do in educational action and everything is to enhance their attention so that it is a key for the future in the other faculties
In this sense, Pilar l Lopez, says: "the progress made by attention is noted by the other faculties, so everything that supposes an improvement for the senses, the intellectual faculties, observation contributes to the perfection of attention"
¿Why is motivation and interest in students important?
A person is motivated when his action is initiated and sustained from within; reason is that factor or set of internal factors that initiate direct and sustain a certain behavior
In this order of ideas, it would be interesting to know that we teachers have our important part to promote in students the motivation for them to capture the attention, but the one brought by the student from their home greatly complements the one they receive at school Why ? Throughout my teaching career and so many teachers have shaped and lived it with our students we have met hundreds of students who are unmotivated who come from their homes with a reluctance that does not allow them to concentrate or capture the attention of the processes of classroom, by many factors
Effective learning depends not only on the knowledge and skills of the
student but also of the interest that this one has towards the contents that
they approach in school, and therefore of the will, attitude and motivation that
show to be actively involved in the learning process.

Obviously, the lack of motivation interferes greatly in the student performance of the students since they do not get to attract attention and their learning is low and limited
In order for students to enhance attention they must be motivated to receive the teacher's guidance because for the study to be effective and truly profitable they must be motivated enough, a fully conscious inner movement must lead them to satisfaction and then the effort will be minimum and the ability to concentrate and assimilation will be the maximum
The central nucleus of learning is the motivation and the vast majority of the difficulties that the student faces in this often tortuous path are due to the lack of an intense and positive motivation.
FACTORS THAT MAY CAUSE AN EFFECTIVE MOTIVATION
The first thing we have to do is focus on the objectives that we set ourselves and how we can achieve them to induce our students to carry out activities on a voluntary basis where they feel important thus giving meaning to the work done and can develop a true taste for activities avoiding partial final exams or concrete wor
Knowledge and mastery of good study techniques will always provide an incentive that will optimistically push us to the task with greater security in our students.
Carrying out certain group work discussing contrasting points of view and intelligently weighing the different positions adopted by our students which can be of great interest and also always constitutes an extraordinary stimulus for study
Prizes administered in moderation can be very positive, the bad thing is that the student can get used to studying based on a single specific objective, but the teacher will regulate and add positions and tools according to need.
For no reason the teacher should use punishment, on the contrary it is very harmful in the learning and motivation of the students, we are called to promote the meaningful learning of our students to prepare citizens for life...
The school is a transformer and agent of change and historically has occupied a privileged place in the educational performance at home and citizens and we teachers are called to promote this change in coordination with the family.
