Exercising faith in the name of Jesus Christ produces miracles.

(Acts 3: 1-26)

Hello dear community of Steemchurch, Blessings.
Welcome to my blog. My message for today is based on the exercise of faith by the practice of prayer.
I believe that if there is something powerful in the Christian, it is prayer.

Jesus promised that those who believed in Him would perform miracles in His name, (Mark 16:17). He also assured that when our prayers were made in his name, they would be heard, (John 14:13).
The Lord promised to be in the middle of two or three gathered in His name would receive power to become children of God, (John 1:12).

The name of Jesus represents his divine authority and character.
That is why when we pray in his name we are appealing to that authority and his personal character.
When reading the Acts, notice how many times the name of Jesus is mentioned and see what the results of the use of that name are.

The name of Jesus brought victory to Christians, but at the same time it produced fear, frustration and hatred in the hearts of the opponents of the gospel.
That is why today's message focuses on one of the many miracles performed in the early church (Acts 2: 41-43).

This was another event that attracted the attention of the multitudes, just as it had happened during the outpouring of the holy spirit on the day of Pentecost.
The example given by these two servants of the Lord in regard to prayer is inspiring.

Pedro and Juan were very busy men. As leaders of the growing church they filled every moment of their lives. However, in the midst of everything, they recognized that what they could least sacrifice was their practice of prayer and communion with the Lord.

If we could carefully study the failure of so many Christian lives we would probably discover that the problems began at the precise moment that they began to neglect prayer and private devotion.

Beloved church, Christian activities and daily work are not a substitute for prayer and personal communion with God. We fervently desire the spiritual power of the early church, but we must recognize that all of that came as a direct result of an incessant attitude of prayer.

The bible tells us that when the two apostles went up to the temple at the ninth hour of prayer, a man lame from birth was sitting by the door called the beautiful asking for alms from those who went to the sacred place.

The picture of this beggar there makes us think of a poor and invalid world waiting at the door of the church to see if it receives anything.
The presence of that beggar in that place was so common that people probably passed by quickly without even noticing that he was in that place.

But in the city of Jerusalem something very special was happening at that time. The spirit of God was working in a wonderful way through two ancient fishermen who were now consecrated disciples of Jesus Christ.
The cripple of the temple door was about to hear the name that would bring a total change to his life: the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

When Peter said to that man, "Look at us," this, naturally, expected alms from them. But Peter sensed what God would do. He wanted man to pay full attention to what God would do to him. This man had to watch carefully the compassion and love that reflected in the faces of these two powerful disciples of the Lord.
The love of Christ filled their hearts. The faith in the sovereign power of the savior gave them the optimism that the man needed to see.

The holy spirit was exercising the gift of faith in the heart of Peter and undoubtedly a spark of that faith had also ignited in the heart of the disabled. Pedro was not ashamed to admit and confess that he had no money to give to the beggar, because he knew he had something better to share with him. That's why he said:
"What I have I give you; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk. "

The world desperately needs what believers have in Christ. Are we willing to give men in need what we have received from the Lord?

The moment Peter took the hand of the beggar, I felt that his feet and ankles were vitalized.

I have not only got up but jumped with all his energy. For the first time in his existence, I was able to stand up firmly and without the help of anyone.

No orthopedic treatment of these times could have done something similar.
It was the resurrected Christ who made the healing of the paralytic possible.

These apostles of the Lord exercised their faith, every day at the ninth hour, called the hour of the evening sacrifice, three o'clock in the afternoon. In the book of Luke it is called "the hour of incense."

Beloved brothers of Steemchurch, what are we doing today SC-V parishioners?
We are exercising faith through prayer.

I tell you that a group of warriors of intercession led by the Apostle Darlenys have activated the hour of the evening sacrifice, three o'clock in the afternoon, because it has been understood that prayer is the key to the Christian's success, besides knowing that "we do not fight against blood or flesh, but against mainities, darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places ... the real fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual world" (Ephesians 6: 12).

This is a call to reflection for everyone who believes that Jesus Christ is the same as yesterday, today and forever. And that, in his name there is power.

Exercising our faith helps us grow firmly in Christ, because the more we do that the more we have a wrong feeling that he's capable of doing more and more for us

In his name, seen miracles, healings and prodigies, that is the gospel that Jesus wants us to exercise today his coming this next.

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power.

1 Corinthians 2:4

Amen, it is necessary to exercise faith in the name of Jesus Christ.

@ricci01

Miracles are produced through faith, so there is nothing that can not be achieved in the name of the Lord.
