Pencil Color Drawing First try (with step by step procedures)

Good day guys. Today I'm gonna share to you all my first try in drawing. My sister @trishy was drawing the other night. And I insisted her to teach me how. And this is the result that I got. I don't really draw much. And this is my first time using a color pencil for my drawing.

I am so happy with the result that I got. Good thing my sister is there, guiding me with the colors that I should use.

And this is the result. I hope you like it guys. This is a cute cartoon version of my youngest son Dwayne.

Let me show you guys the procedures of doing this.

First she taught me some basic guidlines on how to cartoonized people. I made a rough sketch of my son on a piece of paper.

Then I traced the outlines using a unipin. 0.2

My ate also help me with the coloring part. I read some of her past blogs as well. She taught me how to pick colors that will compliment each other.

She also taught me that I should follow the direction of the light when coloring to have a good texture on my drawings. My sister taught me where to apply the shdows and where to apply the highlights.

Coloring was really fun. I had fun blending the colors and how to use them.It was difficult at first but I got the hang of it. You just have to try to find out. And I am planning to draw some more because it is a good stress reliever after an all day work.
