The competition was attended by 13 high schools of the same level and opened by the Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Jatmiko SH MH, Tuesday, 25/6/2024. The competition participants were students from SMAN 1 Bireuen, SMAN 2 Bireuen, SMAN 1 Peudada, SMAN 1 Gandapura and SMAN 1 Samalanga.

Those assessed in the competition include neatness of costumes, harmony and beauty, movement arrangements and punctuality.

Bireuen Police Chief AKBP Jatmiko SH MH when opening the competition, among other things, stated that the PKS competition at the high school and vocational school level was being held in celebration of the 78th Bhayangkara Day in 2024.

PKS activities are a student organization that participates in extracurricular activities at school, in order to shape character, practice leadership and instill traffic discipline. So that they can become pioneers of safety in traffic and cultivate safety as a necessity.

The aim of forming the PKS is to train students to become members of the school police in this organization. They are trained in marching, the discipline of solidarity and togetherness, and traffic movements.

These movements are usually carried out by PKS members in front of the school. Apart from that, they are also obliged to maintain, protect and secure their schools.

“We have been greatly helped by the existence of this PKS. "They take part in directing traffic and ferrying their colleagues across when they enter and leave school," said AKBP Jatmiko.

AKBP Jatmiko hopes that with this competition, PKS members will be even more enthusiastic, and it is hoped that other students will be motivated to become PKS members.

So that it increases awareness in orderly traffic and in protecting the school environment.

"Hopefully with this competition, traffic violations committed by students can be reduced. "PKS members are expected to be able to socialize and educate their friends," concluded AKBP Jatmiko.

Head of the Bireuen Police Traffic Unit, Inspector Mulyadi SH MH, said that the competition involved dozens of Traffic Police personnel and others, the results of the competition would be announced on June 29.
