Approaching Eid al-Adha, prices of basic materials in Gayo Lues are relatively stable.
As Idul Adha approaches, the prices of nine basic commodities in the Buntul Tajuk integrated market are relatively stable, based on the results of a price inspection led by the Acting Regent of Gayo Lues, Alhudri, Wednesday (12/6/2024).
Alhudri was accompanied by Plh, Head of Perdakop, Head of Food, Head of Industry, Head of Social Affairs, Head of Agriculture, and Head of PP Pol. The Gayo Lues SKPK members saw firsthand the conditions of the integrated market and took the time to communicate with traders regarding the selling prices of various food items. Starting from rice, edible oil, and also the price of granulated sugar and wheat flour.
"From the results of our inspection around the integrated market, there were 9 prices of basic necessities for the community that were still relatively stable, there had not been any significant increases, starting from the price of rice, edible oil and even the price of sugar had decreased," said Alhudri.
According to Alhudri, the price of basic necessities before major holidays such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha usually increases which can increase inflation. But today the price of basic necessities at the largest integrated market in Gayo Lues is still normal. The price of some basic necessities such as chicken per head is 70 thousand rupiah, the price of granulated sugar per kilo is around 18 thousand rupiah, cooking oil is 15-17 thousand rupiah per kilo. Premium rice per bamboo is still around 25 thousand rupiah per bamboo.
Alhudri said that very simple inflation between balanced incoming and outgoing goods was safe. "Inflation that is too low is also disturbing, and vice versa, inflation that is too high can also disrupt the people's economy," he explained.
Alhudri said he was grateful that until now the agricultural products of the Gayo Lues community, such as chilies, onions, tomatoes and vegetables, still dominated the integrated market. The increase in a number of agricultural products will encourage economic acceleration, farmers can also turn their money into various other products that their family needs.
