If you don't have enough steem or SBD to use you can powerdown.
I powerdown about 5700 sp every week, which gives me about 420 steem to "use" every week.
After the powered down steem is in my wallet I stop the powerdown then start it again but you can just leave it or change the amount.
I call it recycling!
I use several different bidbots to mimimize risk and maximise rewards, this is a good strategy!

indeed, every week I powerdown 15 STEEM from 200 SP
