Drake - Please Stop Making Music

Have you ever been forced to spend a day listening to the local top 40 station? Drake is inescapable and has been for a very very long time.

Don't get me wrong - the guy has a great voice. Its a shame he moved away from rap and moved toward singing into a modulator.

Mega artists reach a point where they can sing ANYTHING and recording labels would rather take their shitty new track than take a risk on an unknown quantity. It has reached that point Drake can sing "twinkle twinkle" and it would be mixed into a hit.

The latest song "Gods plan" is terrible - its a number one hit - but a terrible song. If it were by any other artists it would be in the garbage."Gods plan" is not for me to listen to Drake half-rapping about the same shit was rapping about 10 years ago - except now he's rich and old.

When you spend Christmas "snuggling" with Jennifer Lopez - you've become rich and out of touch. Drake was never a poor boy - never a bad boy - but he had a hunger to act and to rap.

The last straw was a song I heard by Drake today. Its a mix of Lauryn Hill's "Ex-factor".

I am a huge Lauryn Hill fan and am outraged that he would rap over her tune.

If he did it 10 years ago maybe - but he's old - nothing left in the rap tank. Guys like Jay-Z and Snoop are still rapping today - because they really were gangsters. I live in the same city as Drake - there is no area in this city remotely close to a housing project. Drake was a child actor if anyone remembers Degrassi - he wasn't slinging crack. You can rap out of rebellion - but you cant continue to rap into your 40's like Eminem - if you don't come from the streets.
