BIBLICAL ECONOMICS: WEALTH TRANSFER LESSONS FROM JOSEPH

in #christian-trail6 years ago (edited)

When I read about Joseph and what God did with him and through him, I'm in awe of God.

Have you noticed that the scriptures record in Genesis 47 that when Joseph became Prime Minister of Egypt and the famine started, he collected ALL THE MONEY that could be found in Egypt and Canaan from the people, and in exchange he gave the people food?

Think about that!

How could one man have all the money in a whole nation?

All the money, not some of it or most of it. Everything called money in two entire countries moved from the hands of a multitude of people into one man's hands.

I think that's just remarkable!

Even more remarkable is the fact that when their money finished, they came again and were ready to part with every single landed property they had also in exchange for food.

So, Joseph BOUGHT ALL THE LAND found anywhere in Egypt and in exchange for their lands he gave them food.

The only lands he didn't buy up were those belonging to the priests of Egypt because they had food assigned to them from Pharaoh.

Now let's assume the priests had 5% of all the landed property in Egypt. So, Joseph bought up 95% of the land in Egypt. Amazing! That would make him pass for a real estate mogul.

What I want you to notice is that by the help of God, one man possessed all the money and all the land in a nation.

We know of course, he was doing all these for his boss, Pharaoh but we need to appreciate the wisdom and insight that made these happen.

Anybody could have survived that famine in grand style if they had the same revelation and wisdom God gave to Joseph 7 years before the famine began, and if they did the same things Joseph did for 7 years before the famine kicked off.

God revealed to Joseph that a famine was going to hit in 7 yeast time but that it would be preceded by 7 years of unusual abundance.

God gave him wisdom to leverage on the abundance in order to be sought after when the famine would begin.

It was by revelation and wisdom Joseph prospered the way he did. Thank God for business schools but Joseph didn't attend a business school.

If you didn't attend a business school you're not disadvantaged!!!

The Holy Spirit is your leverage.

In Psalm 105:22 the Bible says one of the reasons why Pharaoh appointed Joseph as ruler was to teach the senators of Egypt wisdom.

Imagine Joseph who never went to a business school teaching educated economists and political scientists.

That's what wisdom can do.

I have said before that wisdom and intelligence are not the same thing.

BY REVELATION Joseph saw what the whole world would be in need of at a time to come and BY WISDOM he knew what to do to properly position himself as the answer they'd run to.

You should know this as a child of God:

  • Money moves from the hands of those who have it to the hands of those who God has given the power to get wealth.

Dear friend, what you need the most is not money. You need revelation and wisdom. You need the ability to create wealth.

Look around and be sure of this, The people who have lots of money today may not have it in 7 years time. Don't be deceived.

There are times and seasons in life..

Someone who has no money today may have all the money you can think of in 7 years time.

Wealth transfer is real!

What God has done in the past, He's ready to do again today and even surpass. So, set your heart after revelation and wisdom.

Ask yourself: What will be needed in the future? How can I supply that need when it arises?

Yearn to see tomorrow!

There are treasures and so much wealth unknown to the church right now. It hasn't yet come to light in our minds that God can enrich His people that much but in my spirit I see God supplying REVELATION and WISDOM to us for the transfer of a magnitude of wealth and riches like we've never seen before in the church.

Get ready. We've not seen anything yet!

Here's what God says in Isaiah 45:3 (Living Bible),

"And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness, secret riches; and you will know that I am doing this - I, the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by your name."

My response to this is AMEN.

Sort:

My response too would be AMEN @restandreign! Deep indeed calleth unto the deep, I'm positioned to receive all that God is releasing upon us as far as wealth transfer is concerned, the revelation and the wisdom to prosper in the land, to live in the abundance that God has prepared for us.

Amen bruv. It will be to you as you have believed.

Wow, this is indeed a deep revelation. Thank you sir @restandreign for this insight.

Thank you my darling wife for creating a home environment that helps me hear what the Spirit of God is saying.

This is really interesting. Some years ago, I came across a book titled 'The Coming Wealth Transfer' by Matthew Ashimolowo.

I'd like to read that book someday. I believe it will be a huge blessing.

This is a very enlightening post. I have read about Joseph many time over the years and never quite thought of his situation like you laid out. It is important we constantly dwell on the fact that all things are possible through God! Thanks for sharing.

Indeed all things are possible. Thanks @papacrusher

Amen!

Sounds like the kind of transfer I want.

Not an excuse to stop hustling though

Lol

Although I personally don't believe in hustling, I very well so know what you mean.

If you didn't attend a business school you're not disadvantaged!!!
This caught me...
I've got the Holy Spirit, the Greatest advantage one can ever have.
Wow!!!
Thank you for this insightful post.
I say amen too.

You're welcome. Yes, the Holy Spirit is your edge.

Lol
Well, deep is cool since we can only bear fruit upwards after we've taken our root downwards (2 Kings 19:30, Isaiah 37:31).

Reading this is motivating, because I have distanced myself from God, maybe it's time to return

It really is time @marpa God's been longing for the moment when you return home into His loving arms.

I'll be glad to help you in any way you might need some help.

Very insightful, @restandreign! I’ve never really thought about Joseph’s story quite this way. Thanks for sharing!

@poimenpost You're welcome. I'm glad I could help shed some light on it.

Wow.

It was by revelation and wisdom Joseph prospered the way he did. Thank God for business schools but Joseph didn't attend a business school.
If you didn't attend a business school you're not disadvantaged!!!
The Holy Spirit is your leverage.

This is mind-blowing. Thanks for this piece.

And more importantly, my response is "Amen"
