Stoic Hertha
Bayern Munich's 14 game unbeaten run was today ended by Hertha Berlin who held them to a goalless draw with Robert Lewandoski failing to score in his 12th consecutive Bundesliga home game.
Hertha Goalkeeper, Rune Jarstein was at the end of some wonderful saves as they held Bayern for their first match going without scoring a goal since their 3-0 loss in the UEFA Champions League that cost Carlo Ancelloti his job. It was the visitors' third successive clean sheet in the league as well.
Despite getting five goals past Besiktas in the Champions League midweek, Bayern couldn't break down a stoic Hertha Berlin defence.
Nonetheless, the Bavarians still hold a 20 gap lead over their closes rival, Borussia Dortmund who travel to Augsburg on Monday and could cut the gap down to 17 seventeen points with a win.
This not withstanding still places Bayern perfectly for the title.
I only think they are exhausted after the Champion League match against besiktas.
Bayern Munich are the League favorite and I don't see Dortmund finishing second if are still in the Europa League race.
Good one for hertha Berlin but history says it is not the first time they held Bayern to a draw.
Lol... I don't want to believe they were exhausted from against Besiktas. They had it on a platter of gold against the Turkish side. It wasn't a contest, especially after the red card. Well, maybe the history of Hertha holding them could be valid though 😁
