PGMOL: A Shameless Inconsistency
What we continue to witness with every turn now is a sharp and bitter level of inconsistency coming from Premier League referees and the foolery displayed by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) in accommodating this high level of stupidity that continues to destroy the beautiful game for us.
No one is against implementing the rules to the letter, but if this is to be done, there should be no selectiveness as to with which club or where to apply them. Rules are there not to make people stupid and lose their reasoning, but as a guide, which doesn't translate into not having the ability to think independently and assess situations before reacting.
We were yet to recover from their mishap in the sending off of Declan Rice against Brighton which led to him missing the North London Derby before they brought another misery against Manchester City.
It was clear to the blind that the momentum had swung in Arsenal's favour and they were ending the half the better side, but it almost looks like a witch hunt against Arsenal and protection for the moneybag that Manchester City is.
At least three fouls were committed by Erling Haaland which should have in the least got him a booking; he got not even a warning, instead, he was even protected by the referee in the last one where he bagged into Partey. Doku and Bernando Silva also got away with same thing that got Trossaed sent off.
Just in the reverse fixture of this same game last season, this same shithousery of a referre called Michael Oliver refused to send off Mateo Kovacic despite the Croatian making two dangerous tackles that should have got him sent off. What did we get? His Chief, Howard Webb coming on air to defend the buffonery, claiming "Michael Oliver didn't want to ruin the game or overreact", reason he decided not to send off Kovacic. What changed this time? Oh, it's Arsenal and he didn't care about ruining the game because Arsenal were in a good place and that was a crime.
I don't even want to go into his his horrible record of sending off Arsenal players or Manuel Akanji's celebration when the referee was going to send Trossaed off. Who knew they could be scared to play 11 v 11.
For all those opposition fans backing the PGMOL and their corruption, all I have for them is that, this inconsistency shall get to everyone at a point that will really hurt.
Kudos to the boys for surviving this ambush because it would have been worse. But, we go again.
