John Terry To Leave Aston Villa

FORMER England and Chelsea captain, John Terry is set to part ways with Championship side, Aston Villa the club and player have confirmed.

Terry joined Aston Villa last summer signing a one -year deal after quitting Chelsea. His reason for not staying in the Premier League was that he would not want to play against the Blues.

The ex-England International was immediately named Villa's captain and made 35 league appearances, leading them to fourth place.

The narrowly missed out of promotion back to the Premier League, following their 1-0 loss to Fulham in the final of the playoffs last weekend.

    John Terry is a good player. He did a good work with Villa. You haven't mentioned his reasons for wanting to leave Villa though. Has the contract expired or is there any other reason?

      Apologies for that. He signed just a year contract and felt it good to leave at the end of the deal. No other reason. He was superb with them and they narrowly missed out returning to the Premier League.
