Great video man. Completely agree that @dtube is a work in progress and I plan to support them through these rough patches. Those guys are working their hearts out and I believe they will get it streamlined. I think @dlive is a great service as well and anyone that wants to do content there should go for it! Ultimately, as creators, it's so nice to have so many varied options to create and upload content.

It's a tough decision for a lot of people but it's great as a user to take full advantage of everything the Steemit blockchain has to offer. I'm sure people moving over completely have put a lot of thought into it. Like you said no hard feelings but we gotta look at the future of it.

Those are some really excellent points @reseller. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of the platforms, and the likely scenario that both will thrive. I've not been doing this a long time, but the decentralization of DTube and IPFS was one of the key factors for me in deciding where I wanted to focus my time and energy. Is it challenging? Of course it is. The underlying technology is climbing towards maturity at the same time that DTube is being built on top of it, and that is not an instantaneous process.
Your discussion of the importance of community and family is also exactly on point. While I have a lot of technical reasons to be very optimistic and excited about the technology stack underlying Steem, IPFS and DTube, the most profoundly important part of this grand experiment for me so far has been the encouragement and support and inspirational examples I have found in the DTube family.
There is no good reason for an us vs. them approach to the applications that are leveraging the Steem blockchain. The fact that they exist is a positive thing for the ecosystem. I love DLive, they are doing some amazing work. Same with DTube. It is an incredible priviledge to be able to use these tools, and it is our responsibility to help them become more vibrant destinations for people who love to create things.

Great video @reseller.. yes it is very easy to be missed on dtube especially when you live in Australia with the timezone difference makes it harder as they don't seem to be around during the day so have to wait til like 11:30pm or super early in the morning to have a chance haha.. but i will still post on dtube every now and then :) I think DTube prefers original content so singing cover's isn't working for me on dtube anymore but i will be posting mainly original songs on dtube or vlogs and then keeping the covers for dlive :) see how it goes all trial and error
