Squid Balado
Ingredients :
- 500 g squid, remove the contents & skin
- 1 cup lemongrass, geprek
- 2 orange leaves
- 1 tablespoon of tamarind water
- 1/2 Bombay onion, roughly sliced
- sugar + salt to taste
Ground spices:
- 10 pieces of curly red chili
- 6 onions
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 2 tomatoes
How to make:
Saute the spices until fragrant, add lemon grass & orange leaves. stir well .
Pour enough water, add tamarind water, sugar + salt, mix well.
Enter the squid, mix well, if it is rigid, put the sliced onion onions, cook over low heat so that the seasoning permeates.
If the squid is cooked, remove it & serve it while warm.
Note: If the cube wants to be really soft, before cooking balado, it can be steamed until tender.
