A Hospital from the Eyes of an Alien

(This is my take of a hospital from an alien's point of view.)

When I teleported onto Earth, I was assaulted by the pungent smell of spirits, metallicness of fresh blood and the acrid odour of medicines. When I observed my surrounding carefully, I noticed that the place was swarming with men and women in white coats and stethoscopes around their necks.

I also spotted a line of pale and frail-looking people surrounded by crying and anxious human beings. I spotted a flurry of activity occurring further beyond, and teleported to get a closer look. I saw a hideously, bloody and damaged body being wheeled into a room with a red light on top that lit up….. I wonder what’s that for?

I was very curious as to what was going on, so I peeked inside and saw a man with a cool dispassionate look operating on the lifeless body. He came out with a grim look and bad news for the family waiting outside. I quickly looked away, trying to erase that absolutely horrendous scene from my mind.

A counter with a very long line in front of it caught my eye. I strolled over to it and when I came closer to the front I could not stop gagging. It smelt horribly bitter! I noticed the smell was coming from these small brightly coloured stone-like objects, that these people were popping in their mouths. Why would they do such a thing to their poor taste buds?

Overall, it was quite a weird day and I couldn't wait to tell my friends about the bizarre deeds of the human kind.
