RE: I've backed the Steem Monsters Kickstarter campaign!

For me I think @Steem-Monsters can have different levels of success.

  • The base level to me would be Steem-Monsters ending up as a Niche game played between a niche group of Steemians. This will eventually lead to the cards value dropping and/or being hard to sell due to lack of investors but I wouldn't call the project a failure if this happens. It's the market that determines the price of cards and its possible that that we the players / investors over-valued them at current time.

Anything below that is a flunk in my books. What you are describing would be a huge success and anyone holding Legendaries and gold foils from the Alpha addition would be sitting on a small fortune.

Haha your base level is a fail to me,.. Would still be great for us, and fun im sure. I just don't think taking half a million dollars from your community so that a couple thousand people can play a card game is a success. If that's what they were aiming for then the cards should have been sold for much less than $2 a pack. This leads to believe the Team has much bigger goals! and wanted to raise enough capital to pursue them..

Oh .. I am sure they are aiming for more and there is allot of buzz around the game so interest is more likely to pick up then it is to flounder anytime soon. Lots of Ideas came and gone and cost more then $500,000. Fingers crossed for the best.
