The pieces
Jesus learned the trade of carpenter through his foster father Joseph, it was an ancient custom for the father to teach the son his office, that is why it is not surprising that in this biblical passage Jesus is mentioned as The Carpenter.
But Jesus, beyond making useful tools with wood, also transforms our life and gives us a new use.
And Jesus is The Carpenter par excellence, we are the wood He uses. The woodworker gets the wood and he does amazing things with it, it really takes a special talent to make a simple wood a great work of art.
So it is also in the spiritual life, all of us were dead in our crimes and sins, nobody gave anything for us, but one day a Carpenter saw in us fine wood, that when working it could create a work of art.
None of us imagined that the Carpenter would do great things in our lives, many of us did not even imagine the beautiful and wonderful things that God was going to accomplish in us. Many of us doubted our abilities, but God did not see us as we were, but as we would be after He took us into His hands and worked in us.
It is not that we are already perfect, or that we do not need more from that Carpenter, but how nice it is to know that every day is shaping areas of our life, that he is working day by day to make us the perfect work, that work that day the sin disfiguro, but that the forgiveness and love of God is renewing day after day.
How beautiful it is to let the Carpenter work in our lives, sometimes it will be very painful, but in those painful moments is where the wood is being refined, is where the edges are shaping and where it will soon be ready for varnish.
Many of us are going to want to flee from the Carpenter's touch-ups, even when He decides to touch parts of our wood that we did not want touched, but the Carpenter with love and patience will start working in that area and in the end be sure that the work will be perfect.
Possibly you are going through one of those moments where areas of your life such as faith and patience are being molded, where strength and knowing how to wait will be essential to support this process that will result in a work that will never come You thought that life could be realized in you.
Just let yourself be shaped by the Carpenter, even that hurts, even that is difficult, but remember that the Carpenter has never spoiled a work, whenever he has started a job, it ends and the result of this is perfect, as He is .
Remember what Philippians 1: 3 says "being persuaded of this, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ."
It is time for you to recognize that you need to bring your pieces to the workshop of the Best Carpenter, he will take you in his arms to give another form to your life, He can change your sad face if you take your heart so that He repairs it, he does not seek salary just look for man to restore, and do not keep wasting time, give yourself today the opportunity and give value to your life that the Carpenter waiting for you this.
