STEM Saturday Post Promotion

in Popular STEM2 years ago (edited)

I am hereby declaring that today is "STEM Saturday" (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) on the Steem blockchain. ;-)

In celebration of the occasion, I have decided to advance a post from our little community to the top of the /promoted page.

About the post's Author

@sarahjay1 is one of our community's longest writing and most consistent creators of original science content. As with this post, many of her articles focus on the space exploration industry, so I definitely recommend that you go ahead and give her a follow too.

About the post

Here it is at the top of the /promoted page

In The Starliner spaceship successfully landed after its mission to the ISS, @sarahjay1 tells us about the latest mission success for Boeing's CST-100 Starliner space craft. Click through to learn more and to give the author an upvote!

In addition to the author's solid track record in our community, I also applied a minimum word count standard and ran the post through 3 different plagiarism detection sites before deciding to promote it.

About future promotions

I don't know how often I'll repeat this sort of initiative in the future, but if I do, minimum requirements for future STEM Saturday promotions are:

  1. Original, plagiarism-free content
  2. Minimum word count: currently 300 words, but this may be adjusted.
  3. The content must not be cross-posted on other web sites or blockchains. Correct use of the #steemexclusive tag is encouraged.
  4. English language. (sorry, it's the only one I know)

For more about post promotion on the Steem blockchain, see:

I also invite STEM enthusiasts to promote your own favorite STEM post on Saturdays in order to help grow the audience for STEM bloggers on the Steem chain. There is no minimum requirement to get a post added to the promotion page, even 0.001 SBD can do it!

Finally

Before there was STEM Saturday, there was Caturday, so here's a cat picture, by way of Pixabay

Point 4 does not have a good argument, the language barriers were broken long ago.

True, but content creators can do the same thing, and I would prefer to promote posts where the English version will show up for the search engines.

Hi @remlaps , I will follow @sarahjay1 , and what I felt when reading ,and I'm not making a joke, I stayed like this

I wish you a happy weekend

This is interesting. Although my English is a bit bad. but I will try to participate.
