[Steem prediction game] New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles / October 26 at 1pm (burnsteem100)
Here are the results from last week's Steem prediction game covering an American Football game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Minnesota Vikings:
| Comment | Vote Count | Vote weight | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Eagles will win | 1 | $0.92* | Correct |
| The Vikings will win | 5* | $0.15 | Incorrect |
| Over 43.5 | 2 | $1.00* | Correct |
| Under 43.5 | 3* | $0.06 | Incorrect |
* values with an asterisk (*) show the Steem prediction at game time.
For the second game in a row, Steem's predictions were split between weight and count. And, for the second game in a row, the predictions by weight were both right while the predictions by count were wrong.
Let's play again!
In this week's game, the NFL's New York Giants are visiting the Philadelphia Eagles.

- The game is being held at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field.
 - The Giants have won 2 games and lost 5 this season.
 - The Eagles have won 5 games this season and lost 2.
 - The two teams saw each other about two weeks ago at the Giants' home field, and the Giants won by a score of 34-17.
 - At this moment, the Eagles are favored to win by 7 points, and the over/under is 44 points.
- Correction. At posting time, I misread the odds. The Eagles are favored, not the Giants.

As with previous weeks, I'll attach 4 replies to this post with null beneficiaries set to burn 100% of author rewards. I don't want to allow for a push, so I'm raising the over/under to 44.5.
Here are the replies:
- The Giants will win.
 - The Eagles will win.
 - The total score for both teams will be over 44.5 points (45 or more).
 - The total score for both teams will be under 44.5 points (44 or lower).

Vote for the comments that you think are correct in order to burn STEEM and collect curation rewards. I'll vote for the correct answers after the game ends in order to send a few extra curation rewards to the voters who guess correctly.
Update: Here are the predictions at game time.

And here are the final results (The Eagles won, 38-20):
| Comment | Vote Count | Vote weight | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Giants will win | 0 | $0.00 | Incorrect |
| The Eagles will win | 1* | $0.02* | Correct |
| Over 44.5 | 0 | $0.0 | Correct |
| Under 44.5 | 1| $0.02 | Incorrect |
* values with an asterisk (*) show the Steem prediction at game time. So, with only one vote, the Steem blockchain was 50/50 in its predictions: 1-1 by weight, and 1-1 by count. The Eagles have a bye next week, so I'm not sure if I'll run a Steem prediction game next weekend or not. If so, it won't be for an Eagles game. |

Knowing you're a smart Eagles fan, I have to ask: what's your take on the "touche-push"?
I think it's great, and I hope they don't ban it. The only thing I don't understand is why none of the other teams have started adopting it more.
Here's an entertaining video on its origins, in case you haven't already seen it.
