Seit ca. 150Jahren gibt es Sie schon: „die Postkarte“, es gibt sie glücklicherweise heute noch, doch verliert Sie von Jahr zu Jahr an Bedeutung. Es ist ja einfacher via Social Medien ein Selfie von und vor irgendetwas zu posten, klick oder send, und schon ist das Bild angekommen.

Eine Postkarte fand für vieles Verwendung: an Gewinnspielen teilzunehmen, Geburtstagsgrüße zu schicken und natürlich auch die Urlaubsgrüße, die wiederum für viele oftmals Stress bedeuteten. Man wollte soviele Informationen auf der Karte verewigen, sodass meistens zu wenig Platz auf der Karte war. Auf der Vorderseite mit einem Kreuz zu kennzeichnen welches Hotel, welchen Strand oder Restaurant man war. Aber auch die Zuhaus gebliebenen warteten bzw. erwarteten eine Urlaubskarte, oftmals war man schon früher zuhause als die Urlaubsgrüße.
Auch gab es bzw. gibt es noch Fun-Karten mit lustigen Motiven drauf, und natürlich auch die selbst gebastelteten sehr kreativen Karten.

Manchmal kommt es auch vor das eine Karte auf ihrem Weg 60Jahre und auch mehr brauchte um doch noch anzukommen, aber in der Regel ist Sie 2-5 Tage unterwegs, jenachdem Übersee oder selbiger Kontinent.

Wer von uns Steemians schon mal eine Karte geschrieben hat, kennt sicher noch die Vorfreude drauf, den Empfänger mit einer Karte eine Freude zu machen. Doch dann liegt die Karte und der Stift am Tisch vor einem, die Adresse ist ja schnell geschrieben, aber jetzt kommt das erste Problem: Was schreibe ich? Hat man dieses auch gelöst, kam noch der Weg zum Postamt oder Briefkasten wenn die Marke vorhanden, und ab die Post. Wie gut das es das Internet und Handys gibt, denken sich jetzt viele, aber eine Karte in der Hand zu halten, damit zu wissen das der Absender es persönlich geschrieben hat, ist mit Sicherheit ein anderes Gefühl als piep piep, sie haben eine neue Nachricht.

Daher mache ich eine „Postcard-Challenge“, wenn du auch mitmachen möchtest, kannst du mir eine Postkarte schicken. Wie das geht siehe die Bilder und das Gif. Ich werde versuchen soviele Postkarten als möglich immer wieder auf Steemit zu zeigen, die ich erhalte.

The postcard:

A postcard was used for a lot of things: to participate in competitions, send birthday greetings and of course the holiday greetings, which in turn often meant stress for many. They wanted to immortalize so much information on the map, so that there was usually too little space on the map. On the front with a cross to mark which hotel, which beach or restaurant one was. But also those who stayed at home waited or expected a holiday card, often one was already at home earlier than the holiday greetings.
Also there were or still fun-cards with funny motives on it, and of course the self-made very creative cards.

Sometimes it also happens that one card on her way 60 years and more needed to arrive, but usually it is 2-5 days on the road, depending on overseas or the same continent.

Anyone who has ever written a card to us from Steemians surely knows the anticipation of making the receiver happy with a card. But then the card and pen are at the table in front of you, the address is written quickly, but now comes the first problem: What am I writing? If this has also been solved, the way to the post office or mailbox came when the brand exists, and from the post office. How good the internet and mobile phones are, many are now thinking, but to hold a card in the hand, knowing that the sender has personally written it, is certainly a different feeling than beep beep, they have a new message.
