Great collection of photos, I especially like the fourth photo with the lady weaving baskets and her little child there.
I noticed some women were wearing little round hats. I didn’t know that was a custom.
Beautiful art work on the baskets. Good to hear the basket weaving is still going on. I can’t imagine how they got the different colors throughout them.
Howdy redheadpei! The weather here was heating up in the 90's but now a cold front and storms are moving in and it's downright chilly but feels very good. Great sleeping weather and won't have to run the air conditioning. Do the homes up there have air conditioning or are the summers too short to bother with it?
The women with the woven hats, yes I didn't know about those either but several different tribes were wearing them so I guess it was a thing.
Sometimes they stained the basket designs and sometimes they wove different colored material in to make the designs. All I know is, the skill level is beyond my comprehension!
