Strength Assessment Tests - Clifton StrengthsFinder™

Positive Psychology

I've never taken this test before. I've taken many psych tests over the years, most of the tests I took were in college. I was going into psychology and took most of my 101s before transferring my major to Nursing.

Immediately before I took the online test I searched for reviews. I found a lot of positive reviews and very few negative reviews. I figured the reason for this is the test speaks of our strengths in a very nice tone. Who doesn't want to hear good things about oneself?

During the first interview via email I was asked to list my strengths. I said I'm curious and like to learn new things. I love to share what I've learned with others. If you have a problem, I like to research and come up with multiple answers. Problems are fun for me! Below I posted my results and I wasn't too surprised with my five major strengths.

The tests wording is vague. I only had 2 choices to pick from, I feel very strongly, strongly and not so strong or neutral to the I totally disagree and so on.... I loath multiple choice testing because answers are not that black and white to me. You have to buy multiple products to refine your assessment. The test is predictable if you have taken other assessment tests.

Many times I was a bit of both answers and felt I could of been equally both answers depending on the situation I was in. Sometimes the two choices for a situation were not suitable and I wanted to write in how I felt or would of responded to a particular stimuli. Plus the test was timed, I hate timed tests but I can blow the negative response I have away thanks to techniques I learned in meditation. The questions were easy anyway. But someone with a reading disorder would have a hard time. The coaching site understand this and has alternative tests for people that read slowly.

Getting to know oneself takes thyme.

Often these tests are usually stressful, but certainly sive to improve the quality of people.
Excellent post dear friend @reddust thank you for sharing this information.

The test focuses on our positive qualities rather than our weaknesses. If we focus on developing our strengths, my thought is, we will have an easier time working on strengthing our weaker areas and also have an easier time letting go of abnormal behavior.

One thought that keeps coming up. Today's world may be crazy, developed by insane people who crave power and control. Our values are given to us by authority that does not see virtues or morality as assets but rather obstacles and weaknesses in their farming methods applied to their farming of humanity. In today's world most of our psychology focuses on our weaknesses and abnormalities. Thank you dear friend @jlufer.

Excellent return dear friend @reddust thank you very much for the video in spanish translation
