Payen's Character
Payen is Tyme's big brother. He is almost 13 years old and has a special talent. He can kill time because he knows without a doubt time is a figment of his imagination. Payen can show other people time does not exist by killing time with his magical crossbow. His aim is so true he never misses the bullseye! When he sees time as it is, he takes aim with his deadeye and sends an arrow through the heart of the imagined. If anyone is with him when he nails time to the ground with the arrow of truth everyone with him can walk through space without the need of time as a guide.
PAYEN...The English surname Payen is patronymic origin, being one of those names derived from the first name of the original bearer's father. The source of the name can be traced to the Old English word "paien", which was derived from the Latin word "paganus" meaning "rustic or countryman".
