Can you recover an account if you have the old password?
This is what happened to my friend who tried to open an account here. So i told him about Steemit and i got him interested. He was waiting for the activation email with the password and asking me every hour when is coming :)
When it finally came, he clicked the link from his iPhone and made a screenshot of the password, because i told him how important it is and that it can't be recovered.
The problem is that he didn't finish the process and he decided to use his laptop. When he sit at his laptop, he clicked the activation link again which generated a new password. Thinking it is the same password, he didn't save the new one.
He is really fond of the nickname he chose and i was wondering if there's a possibility for him to recover his account.
Ai, that seems like a big problem. I am not sure if there is a way to fix that. At least I do it know it. Hope you find a solution that solves the issue for your friend. Have fun out there and good luck with future posts!
