Porn VS Jesus --- Jesus VS Porn --- Healing from a daily life dilemma in Jesus Name

A wise man told me one time this example, “ you can’t stop a mosquito from flying around you, but you can always take different actions that will not allow the mosquito to land on your skin to bite you”.

Like any addictions, it starts small and then snowball out of control. Porn is not an exception to this rule.

It starts with a picture that you saw by mistake while you are googling something or a movie love scene that you watched while you are with your friends at the movie theater. It’s like a dried wood sticks and you just started the first spark then you started to blow to it so you get the fire. It is up to you to either stop the fire or even make it bigger. You are the middle controller….. it is up to you and not up to any coincidence.

Do you want to be made well?

The lord Jesus of course can help you and can heal you from this addiction however, you need to help yourself first. The bible talks about Jesus healing process in John chapter 5:

” 1 After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 2 Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool, which is called in Hebrew, Bethesda, having five porches. 3 In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 4 For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" 7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me." 8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk." 9 And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath. 10 The Jews therefore said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath; it is not lawful for you to carry your bed." 11 He answered them, "He who made me well said to me, 'Take up your bed and walk.'" 12 Then they asked him, "Who is the Man who said to you, 'Take up your bed and walk'?" 13 But the one who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, a multitude being in that place. 14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, "See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you." 15 The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

The healing steps:

1- Admit that you have a proplem:
A lot of people do not think that watching porn is a mistake or even a sin and they actualy think it is normal and ok. You need to admit that you have a problem. The sick man was aware of his sickness and didn’t deny it. Do not deny that you have a problem because denial will lead you to escape to more porn and maybe more darker stuff in it.

2- IT IS NEVER TOO LATE:
Even if you’ve been involved in pornography since forever, be sure that the Lord is here for you and he can and will heal you. Do not ever say it’s too late ….. IT IS NEVER TOO LATE … the sick man could’ve just lose his hope after couple of years waiting at the water …. He could’ve said that he even has no body to throw him to the water…. He believed that he will be healed …… He never lost his hope even after 38 years …… The lord came and healed him and the lord is here and will heal you.

3- Rise, take up your bed and walk:
Do your part and rise …. The lord will heal you but you need to have this healing mentality and rise ….. then you will be able to glorify god in your mind and body. Trust in Jesus word …. When he tells you rise … that’s mean that you already been healed and it’s your turn to obey and show the glory to the lord.

4- What if I failed again after my rise?
It might happen, and it is normal… do not be hard on yourself …. And do not feel down at all because that’s what the devil want you to feel. Always be positive and always belive that the lord will never hate you because of your sin even after healing ….. he will ALWAYS LOVE YOU NO MATTER WHAT ….. just do not wait …. Repent then stand up again and fight again …. Rise again … it is ok …. He still loves you … you are his son … you are his daughter that he loved and will always love.

5- Don’t fight alone:
Do not fight alone…. Join a good church to fight with you thru prayer and meetings. Many churches are having a special programs for healing from Pornography. Do not fight alone.

6- Read the word of God and listen to it over and over …. And over:
The devil can’t stand you reading and listening to the word of god…. Reading and listening to the bible over and over is like an antivirus and anti-spam program to your computer … it’s like a protection shielded from the devils wars … If you are driving, listen to the bible….. if you at work …. Listen to the bible ….. even while you sleep …. Listen to the bible ….. read the bible and listen to the bible …..

At the end ….. I encourage you to start your healing process in Jesus Name ….. and to Rise in Jesus Name …..
