Sadly not many people grow landraces these days, but I have and I've loved them all. They are far cry for modern hybrids, but possess rare qualities, that got suppressed by short-sighted inbreeding.

I tried flowers from both strains (that these seeds came from). I went in with a "canna-snob" attitude because it looked and smelled differently than anything I'd seen or smelled before.
I was shocked because although the high wasn't super intense, it immediately disrupted my short term memory which I associate with very medicinal sativas. I had to smoke it because of where I was (normally I would vape and eat oil that I infuse) so it wasn't my preferred ingestion method. I was bracing myself to have the back of my throat ripped right out, but it is some of the smoothest material I have ever sampled and I am so excited about actually getting to grow it myself because if it came out of a brick or a ditch and is like that, just imagine what it could be like with some love. LOL!
I repent to the gods of the buds. I will never prejudge a flower ever again.
It's about 3 things: right genetics, right environment and the right soil! When you have it all, your produce will kick ass!
Good info! I have become a cannabis seed collector, with over a 100 rare and interesting packs! If your interested in landrace strains, I would check out Bodhi Seeds, he has a side project he calls Supernatural Selections that contain rare and unique landrace strains from around the world.
