Hello steamains,am really excited to put down some words concerning my school.
The federal polytechnic,Nekede is a federal government owned higher institution located in Nekede,owerri west local government area in imo state south-eastern Nigeria.It was established on a temporary site at the premise of Government technical college of technology,owerri before it was moved to its present located in Nekede on 7 April 1993,the polytechnic was changed to a federal government institution and was renamed."THE FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC,NEKEDE. The polytechnic offers national diploma courses at undergraduate levels

Federal polytechnic,Nekede has five schools(faculties)of study;
1.School of industrial and applied science(SIAS)

2.School of business management technology(SBMT).

3.School of engineering technology(SET)

4.School of humanities and social sciences(SHSS)

5.Shool of environment development technology(SEDT).

On 3 october 2018,Federal polytechnic nekede inaugurated Rev.Engr.Dr. micheal Arimanwa as the 8th rector of the polytechnic and first Alumnus Rector of the institution.
Rev.Engr.Dr.Micheal Arimanwa is a priest who is of the civil Engineering department ,Hes the former HOD of civil engineering department,former DEAN school of engineering.

Choosing federal polytechnic nekede owerri was a landmark experience,i was overwhelmed and filled with joy when i saw my name on the admission list,funny right ;well that was how i flet. I choose fedponek not because of my friends overthere before me or because i wanted to make friends from owerri but,because i want a school that gives its best in lecturing the students and because my course of study is based on practical,I made that clear decision to make it my choice of institution.The practicals done are very well detailed and equally explained.And i do enjoy every bit of it,The spectroscopy, blood group and genotype practicals were really great thode time,The school on its own has so much made an impa im my life of study and in soo many expects.

  Secondary is the school system of education,FEDPONEK system of education is a captivating one.They have a very fasts school calender,there very fast in meeting up,despite all the strike that took place in the previous month.

Nekede is a town in south eastern Nigeria,it is located near the city of owerri.This is an igbo speaking town that is made up of three Distinct towns.
1.umuoma

2.umualum

3.umudibia.

Nekede also hosts imostate new owerri capital territory popularlyknown as new owerri.Federal university of technology owerri (FUTO).Is twenty(20)minutes drive from nekede.
It lies on the junction of the nworie river and the otamiri River. The population of nekede is fast developing into a city with increasing population due to the city of the FEDPONEK ,a federal government owned higher institution.
