I present to you a little frog with a rather peculiar name, frog of gastric incubation or according to its scientific name Rheobatrachus silus.

By 1981 there was no longer a single frog of gastric incubation in its habitat, it became extinct due to several factors, such as the destruction of its natural habitat, climate change and some deadly bacteria; In case you wonder, the little frog lived alone in a small rainy area of Australia, so it is very likely that you have never heard of it, much less that you have had the opportunity to see it in person.

As the name implies, this frog incubated its eggs in its stomach, although it does not sound like the big thing, in reality that is a unique ability in the animal kingdom, for any other species hatching eggs in its stomach would be equivalent to killing them, since enzymes digestives would attack them.

The ability of the gastric incubation frog was so special in scientists from the University of New South Wales, announced that this species is part of the project "Lazarus" a project that tries to resuscitate extinct species through cloning. To date, they have not succeeded in cloning it successfully, but the tests continue so that the probability of their coming back to life is very high.
