Cold war or 3rd World War #What's Next

Syria's civil war became more than a battle between those for or against Mr. Assad rather than Us and allies against Russia and allies
Now US hits Syrian 'chemical weapons sites', in collaboration with UK and France, as Russia and Iran warn of consequences. Two major allies came face to face, is this beginning of 3rd World War?
Those two major groups and countries with their own agendas, making the situation far more complex and prolonging the fighting.

Who will suffer the most?
I don't think so two major groups are concerned about the common people rather their own agendas. So many innocent children, man and woman will die and will face war consequence if both the major group clash.
How can we over came from this situation-
The only solution in this situation protest against both the major allies from their general people, human activists, human rights organization and more over the common people around the world. Further Stop the genocide in Syria. Lets trend two words every platform of the social media to stop this clash .
