What About Rothschild? Goldman Banker Pleading Guilty in 1MDB Will Forfeit $44 Million
Two Goldman Sachs Bankers are facing new charges from the United States, along with Jho Low, the Malaysian fugitive businessman who funded part of his friend Leo DiCaprio's 'Wolf of Wall Street' film with stolen money from the $4.5 billion 1mdb scheme.
In July, it was reported that Rothschild Bank had broken numerous money laundering laws in the same scandal facilitated by the Malaysian government and the Obama White House.
Goldman Sachs SE Asia chairman Tim Leissner is about to plead guilty in the case, and has agreed to a $44 million fine.
Should Rothschild Bankers be facing similar charges given their role in the scandal? There has been speculation that Leissner could be working with authorities to gather evidence on his employer as part of the same deal, suggesting there is a possibility that others could still be charged as a result of a this case.
