This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken in Hong Kong. There is no focus but the chaos of the street and of the neon signage overhead. Hong Kong is truly a city that never sleeps.
It does not matter if you are rich or poor (although being rich is easier), white or black or Asian or green, resident or tourist. This city can be enjoyed by all.
The streets are perfumed by a signature smell, a fragrance only found here. And jazz music plays as you walk around at night, although the instruments are car horns and people talking loudly. Hong Kong is a city both in the past and present, it is turbulent and peaceful, and more than just an island.
It is hard to explain my favorite place in the world to someone who has not been, but if you get the chance to go, it will be worth it.

I'm going to HK in November. I can't wait! My ex girlfriend said it was her favorite place on earth, and her face would light up when she started listing reasons why:)

really colourful shot. hongkong is beautiful at night.
I've never been to Hong Kong but the neon signs look absolutely spectacular.
I hope I can check it out one day in real life.
