I’m Not Married, Are You?

I am knocking on the doors of Heaven
Won’t you let me in?
Knock, knock
Knock, knock
God? Jesus?
Are you there?
I come because a friend told me you could help me out
See, I do not want to wear a sign to find out what true love is all about
I guess I need a husband and a dog
Because I am getting old
What order must this go in?
I surely do not know
But Mrs. Coppock told me if I came to you, you would know
So here I am
Taking her orders and following them
Just so you know…
I would like a man with wisdom
A man who shows respect
A man to love me completely
But not tie a noose around my neck
A man who practices kindness
And he has to love his mom
And if he could hold my hand in public
That would be a plus
He must love music, books, and dogs
He must appreciate nature and a variety of other things
And realize when I love someone
I give one hundred and ten percent
He must love cooking, long walks, and bubble baths
And the most important thing…
He must love the Lord and be a Christian
He doesn’t have to be perfect
But these things are a must
And p.s.
If I have to wear that stupid sign…
Could he at least be hot? ☺
