[Croatia, Trogir and Split #6] A special offer to me from the guy who gave me a ride.

You may be richer than me,
but you will never be free like me

Hello.
I'm traveler @rbaggo
who is finding 'Humanism' in
'Capitalism'

Today, I'm going to introduce Split, a popular tourist destination, and Trogir, a nearby city.

on the above map, other previously introduced destinations Zagreb, Plitvice Lakes National Park, Vodice, Sibenik에 이어 남쪽으로 이동합니다.

It was a cold stone floor, but thanks to Ivan, I spent good night.

I decided to move to the destination, Split, through hitchhiking. And I'd like to see Trogir, which is located on the way.

But even after waiting for about 2 hours, I couldn't catch the car, and I thought it was Croatia. I don't know why, but it seems that tourism has tied people to capitalism.

One guy stopped his car for me. When he found me, he made a U-turn on the way back because there was no place to stop. He spoke English very well and his job looked good.

The background of the picture is Trogir. It's really interesting to see on Google Maps, but it's actually a point of transportation, so it seems to be the main conduit for cargo ships carrying containers.

I said that I wanted to see Trogir on the way, so he tried to show me there, he said that he has a lot of free time. Trogir was a city that didn't seem as big as I thought. I don't know if it's because I left out the container port, but it felt smaller than I thought.

In the old city, you can see fortresses that look like small fortresses near the sea side, and there are many cafes and restaurants.

He also bought me a cup of coffee and asked me a special offer.

He : My house is near Split. Would you like to stay for a day?
Rba : Hmm... I'm going to go straight to Bosnia after the split, so I don't think I can afford it.
He : My boyfriend is Bosnian, and I go there often too. Have you ever done xxx with a guy? Why don't you give it a try?

Yes, he is a gay man who was interested in men. I think that's why you gave me a ride, but his offer was not compulsory. I politely declined. Haha

Rba : I'm sorry. As I've been spending 2 days with another gay man in England, I'm not interested in men at all, I love women.

Despite my refusal, He respected my opinion and took me safely to the Split. When I told Korean tourists I met in Spilt this story, most of them say "hateful" as soon as they hear it. I think there are a lot more attitudes in Europe that respect different cultures and tastes. They say it's open, but I think it's a little different.

I said good-bye to him, and I happened to go to the bus terminal next to where I arrived and bought a bus ticket to Mostar in Bosnia Herzekovina, where I've been wanting to go. I think the price of the bus ticket was about 10 euros, but when I later got on the bus, They charged extra 1 euro for luggage. I'm not sure if I ripped it off because I'm a foreigner.

I was hungry and bought a piece of pizza sold on the street and tried it. The food is salty as it is located in the warm south. But It was delicious.

There are many ancient medieval castles and fortresses left in the old Split. People were selling goods by opening a store near the wall. There were so many shops selling souvenirs to see if there were a lot of tourists. I don't think there were many special things about Croatia.

I bought a turkey leg at a market in the old town and tried it. It was 4 to 5 times bigger than chicken leg, so I bought it with high expectations. The price was about 2 euros!

But it was harder than I thought, so I threw it away... I'm a poor traveler who doesn't have much money, but it's a food that's tasteless.

I especially liked this house among the splits. A red roof, beige outer wall, a wooden window painted in light green, and finally a blue sky! I think the house itself was so pretty.

As you know, Split is a resort city with the ocean, so wouldn't it be a happy thing to sit on a bench under palm trees and relax with chicken legs in one hand and canned beer in the other? Hahaha

There is an observatory nearby. Anyone can come up without paying. There's a restaurant up there, so it would be nice to look down at the panorama while eating.

My traveling companion in short time, took a picture of me and my travel shirt. And to be very honest, I didn't spend that much time in Split, and in my personal opinion, it wasn't a very attractive city, so I quickly moved to Bosnia.

It may be because I've seen so many vacation spots everywhere, but it seemed that places like Zagreb, the traditional capital of Croatia, were more attractive.

I heard Hvar and Vis, the islands from Split, are really nice, so I recommend you go!
