How to update item price via Walmart Seller Center?
Walmart is known for offering low-priced products to its customers. So to stay relevant on Walmart, sellers need to keep their product prices competitive. At the same time, updating prices can be a problematic task for sellers as several parameters need to be dealt with. The most important of which is Walmart's pricing policy.
Failure to abide by Walmart's strict rules can lead to the cancellation of orders for that product or even the cancellation of the posting of the article. Therefore, frequent updating of product prices becomes essential for Walmart sellers not only to stay relevant but also to stay published.

Walmart Pricing Policy
Another thing to remember when updating products is Walmart's pricing policy. Walmart protects customers and sellers alike. While it aims to ensure that sellers can earn the maximum possible profits, there is a check on this.
The limitation is also aimed at giving maximum benefits to customers. The downside is that sellers cannot make profits up to a length that violates fair trade in the market. Hence, there are rules that control pricing at Walmart.
There are two Walmart pricing policies. These are:
Walmart Price Matching Policy
Walmart Pricing Leadership Policy
Walmart Price Matching Policy
Also known as the price parity rule. Under this policy, if a seller sells the same product - that is, a product of the same color, brand, and brand - on a different platform at a drastically low price, the seller's product will not be published. This platform can be your shop or another marketplace. This also includes shipping costs.
When the seller re-evaluates the product according to the price parity rule, the product is automatically republished; this usually takes 1 to 15 minutes by walmart account management.
Limitations of Walmart's Price Matching Policy
The product should be the same in brand and type. This includes everything from size, model, quantity, brand and color.
The item should be available at Walmart and the other store when the price match is done.
Walmart product price matching applies to one product per customer per day. Although, unless the product is intended for resale, this rule does not apply to products destined for New Mexico.
There is no offer available to update the price later for a product that is out of stock at this time.
Price matching is only done if the other marketplace or shop offering the lower cost should be one of these: Academy.com, Amazon.com, Autozone.com, Babiesrus.com, Basspro.com, Bedbathandbeyond.com , etc.
Walmart Pricing Matching is not applicable in these circumstances as mentioned above.
Walmart's Pricing Leadership Policy
The other pricing policy is known as the Walmart Price Leadership Policy. Under this policy, if customers save an excess amount on purchasing the same product of the same brand and type on a competing website (including shipping and regardless of seller), the seller's product will automatically be canceled from listing on Walmart.
If so, a notification message reaches the seller via 'Manage Report Items.' Considering that Walmart will continue to monitor other sites and if the price on those sites changes in a range that matches yours, the product will be back up in 1-15 minutes.
Things to keep in mind when updating prices via Walmart Seller Center
Sellers need a proper understanding of Walmart's pricing policies to run a successful business on the market. While updating product prices via the Walmart Seller Center is easy, sellers need to keep the following in mind:
Strictly follow Walmart's pricing policy and Walmart's pricing match policy to be a successful Walmart seller.
Keep your prices competitive and as low as possible for a better chance of winning the Buy Box. Stay up to date with the Buy Box report available in the Seller Center.
Always keep your item "in stock" to increase your chances of winning the Buy Box.
When working on Walmart pricing, focus on getting higher sales at lower prices instead of getting a higher margin on a single sale.
Since Walmart offers Daily Low Pricing (EDLP) on all products, keep item prices based on Walmart's EDLP strategy.
Every Day Low Price (EDLP) is a Walmart strategy that ensures low prices on all products every day. These low product prices are maintained throughout the year and no coupons or promotions are required to use them.
CedCommerce repricing tool
Sellers must keep prices updated regularly while staying in line with Walmart's "Price Matching Policy" and "Price Leadership Policy". However, updating product prices via the Walmart Seller Center can seem tedious. In such a scenario, you can opt for Cedcommerce's repricer tool.
This tool will prove to be lifesaving and will make updating prices a breeze. It also helps you keep product prices in line with competitors' prices. The prices of your Walmart products will always remain competitive and you won't have to worry about not getting published.
To sum up

Therefore, sellers must frequently update product prices and strictly adhere to Walmart's pricing policies. This will allow sellers to stay posted and help their products to be more visible.
