I agree, this is not a gender issue. There are condescending, patronizing people of both sexes. This is another of those 21st century words we've concocted to describe gender differences where they don't exist.
mansplaining is as much of a real thing as catsplaining, shoesplaining and verdiogabresita. it's just crystallization of some miserable minds hate of men.
