What Do You Do When You Have No Choice ?

in #life5 years ago

I've often heard or read about people making bad choices when they have no choice to make them. One example of this would be the person who just couldn't decide between two different things that cost $5.00 each. They were in a bind and had no choice in the matter. However, they ended up spending most of their money on the less expensive item and ended up regretting it. In the same situation, I'm sure there were a number of people who thought that they had no option but to buy the expensive product even though it was more than they could afford.

Making snap decisions is something that a lot of people do in their daily lives. For example, some people make choices to eat in restaurants. Maybe they're feeling lazy and decide to go out for fast food because their favorite show on TV is on. Others make decisions to buy items that they don't need. However, when you don't have any options, these kinds of decisions usually turn into bad decisions.

Why would you make bad decisions in situations like these? First, your brain wouldn't make the choice for you. It is not logical, because we all have the ability to choose what we want. There are a lot of people out there who have made poor choices simply because they didn't think through a decision. It all boils down to will power. If you feel like you'll never have enough, then it's hard to make a decision that is in your best interest.

One example would be if you had an unlimited budget and you couldn't afford a vacation for yourself. Wouldn't you want to save as much money as you can so that you can take that dream vacation with your loved ones? Of course, you would want to save because otherwise you would feel bad about yourself. The same principle applies in other situations.

So, what do you do when you have no choice but to make bad decisions? One thing is for sure, you would still make those poor choices. What do you do when you have no choice but to do things that you really shouldn't be doing?

One thing that you could do is quit. If you are addicted to something, I would assume that you would feel bad about not being able to control it. If you are completely dependent on something that isn't giving you anything in return, then perhaps you should rethink your decision. However, if you are only dependent on something to survive, then you might have to just choose to face the fact that you can't do anything about it.
