UFO's in the Bible P2
Last week sermon we explored the topic of UFO’s and explained what they had to do with Christ. From a select few such as God’s chariots of fire, flying scrolls, a flying ephah, or simply descriptions that fit nothing more than a ufo. Today we continue to further look at more evidence within the Bible that gives us a better explanation of the supernatural or in this case highly technical.
One of the most beloved stories in the Christianity concerns the Star of Bethlehem that hovered over the stable where laid the infant Yeshua (c. 6 B.C.E.–c. 30 C.E.). In recent years, some UFO researchers have suggested that the "star" was actually a spaceship from another world. Let see why…
Matthew 2:7-10 9 when they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
Pretty self-explanatory and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. Initially, I intended to dismiss this as only a star by the amount of time it took them to arrive but it did not explain their means of travel or estimated time to get there. So, based on what we know from learning and experience we know stars are also considered to be angels (Rev 12:4) and also I and many other clergy members of the EOC have seen more than a few perceived star illumination get brighter, twinkle or disappear in an instant.
Nonetheless, the Bible verse was pretty self-explanatory. Which brings me to my next point. Speaking of twinkling little stars or blinking ships there is actually a reference to that in Bible. Ophanim the Hebrews described them as 'many-eyed wheels in the sky' because the blinking lights on the ship reminded them of blinking eyes (only frame of reference they had).
(Exodus 13:21-22) By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.”
We have to remember these were things they alluded to because there was nothing like it to describe its appearance. Now, as for the pillar in the cloud, if you were paying attention in my last sermon I mentioned how the Sumerian tablets are where some stories in the Bible come from. I found a picture of what it most likely resembled as well as a video. Have you guys ever seen a pillar or in this case a flying pillar? The space ship resembled this in its likeness so like a cigar shaped ufo or it wouldn’t be a leap to say in our case a rocket ship. Pillar of fire to give them light. This does not have to be taken
literally it could have been lights or a fire as I explained with the rocket.
Now if we go to 2 Kings 2:1 And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. Heaven was never explained in the Bible as a place you go to receive an award.
The heavens or heaven in the Hebrew language literally mean sky. Now, If you caught my last week sermon I explained the what we would call an abduction. I can quickly explain it to you all. In the same way, Enoch was taken up.
Hebrews 11:5
By faith, Enoch was taken up so that he did not see death. He could not be found because God had taken him away. For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God.
So if you want to see and or hear more Bible related ufo topics I highly encourage you to go check it out my last sermon.
