Gold and Silver, need I say more?
HERE ARE THE DEFINITIONS OF SOME IMPORTANT WORDS
SILVER:
A precious shiny greyish white metal, the chemical element of atomic nimber 47
GOLD:
A yellow precious metal, the chemical element of atomic number 79, valued especially for the use in jewelry and decoration and to GUARANTEE THE VALUE OF CURRENCY
DOLLAR:
Basic monetary unit of the US, Canada, Australia and certain counties in the Pacific Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Africa and South America.
Now I am normally a silver guy, but gold deserves it place. Lets look at the definition of gold from above, notice the part that says "GUARANTEE THE VALUE OF CURRENCY".
Now the way I see it, is this definition is telling us exactly what needs to be done. gold needs to be used to back currency. I mean just think about it for a second, if Gold backed the dollar, would we be in the current debt that we are in as a world? Would we have unnecessary spending? Would we have a Federal Reserve that prints money when they want to spend more? The answer to all of these question is NO
Now for us silver guys, dont worry gold always has room for us, we will always follow the yellow shiny, some times far behind and some times close behind.l, and maybe one day ahead of it.
its time to make the dollar strong again, back it with gold

I hope to be a lot closer to gold in value than whats going on now. I don't think a 10 to 1 Ag to Au ratio is too much to ask!
I think that is very doable, and possible. How was that vacation my friend?
Still Recovering... I hope to be back up to speed by tommorrow...
This. All fucking day long, everyday.
This what?
"This" as in: everything you said above :)
Yes, what @thedamus said!
Silver all the way. i would love to see the dollar backed again. Think of the price silver would jump to. No more wiping my butt with credit card bills.
Dollar down, silver up is ok with me.
Some great points are made here. Valued since the dawn of man and God dam sexy..gold and silver baby! I sent u a lil tip for the help you've been giving me. Your upvotes have ranked me up pretty fast and I appreciate it!
I think crypto's are great, but I just don't trust the grubberment, that's why I like physical. Great post @raybrockman, cheers.
I agree, our currency needs to be backed by something. Why not gold?
Thanks for the visit and comment, I agree lets back it with gold
You right about that man, giving up the gold standard was the worst thing they ever did. It's just lead to unstable inflation and debt.
Agree, worse thing we could have done.
It is easier to take gold and convert it to any local currency then silver in Asia because it is more recognizable then silver and there is a bigger market. For silver sometime it hard to sell it unless there are bullion traders and most are located in the big cities. In Asian small town, you would usually find pawnshops and jewelry shops that will take in the gold but seldom silver.
did you watch belangp latest youtube video? He explains how government/central banks are still using gold as money
