Harvesting spring water...for drinking. Hiking to the source. Part 3
Hello again @dtube and Steem Blockchain! This is the final part in a 3 part.. video series....so please check out our blog...for the other two parts.
In this last video...we have finished our ascent....up the slot canyon...to see the actual spring water gushing out of the cliff side...at its source. Now...I have descended back down...to the canyon floor...where the locals have installed taps....to make it easy to harvest the water from higher altitudes.
Once a week...we make the sojourn....here to these taps...and fill up about 50 gallons of living spring water. This is the only water we drink! We used to spend hundreds of dollars a month on bottled water... as a family....but not anymore! This not only saves on our budget....but the water just tastes better! I picked up a bottle of Fiji Water...on the way out to harvest this water...so I could show a comparison...of value..and cost. I realize it's not an option for many people... to harvest for their weekly water needs...but these places...where the spring water flows....are absolutely worth visiting either way!

I have a spring right here in my yard. It forms a lovely little creek and flows down to the river. There is no outdoor tap, but it is the same water source that comes out of my faucets. And yes, I know how lucky I am!

In 1893 water from my spring was entered into a competition at the Chicago World's Fair. It won first place for best tasting water!
